This site contains Binance referral links. Here is what that means, which pages carry them, and how we keep it from shaping the content.

The one-line version

This site contains Binance referral links. If a reader signs up through one of them, or with our referral code, we may receive a promotional rebate from the platform. It does not cost you more (check the current page).

What that actually means

Binance and other exchanges run public referral programmes that anyone can join. Joining gives you a referral code and a link carrying it; when users who signed up through it generate trading fees, the platform returns a proportion of those to the referrer.

Our referral code is BNB986. We may earn a commission from it.

For a reader, the effect is that signing up with the code does not cost more, and eligible new users may receive up to a 20% fee reduction. The actual proportion is whatever the Binance page shows at the time and may change with policy.

Where the links actually are

Spelling this out is more useful than a general statement that the site has referral links:

  • Of fifteen articles, exactly one contains a referral link: the sign-up guide. It is the single conversion page on the site and the one place a reader is actually about to act; the other fourteen, the fee explainer included, carry no coded link at all.
  • All five tools and every compliance page likewise contain no coded links at all.
  • There are no exchange links in the navigation or the footer.
  • When an article cites an exchange's help centre or fee page, it uses an ordinary link without a referral code — that is an editorial citation, not a monetisation point.
  • The home page displays the referral code but contains no link to the exchange.

Every coded link is marked with sponsored and nofollow attributes, and carries a disclosure line immediately beside it, so nobody has to reach this page to find out.

How we handle the conflict of interest

We are not going to pretend there is no pull. Any site with referral income has an incentive to phrase things more favourably. Our answer is to make the constraints part of the process:

  • Risk warnings are not softened because of it. Wherever returns are discussed, the possibility of loss is discussed alongside.
  • We do not use "guaranteed", "protected" or "risk-free" language, and we make no promissory statements about returns.
  • We do not oversell the platform, and we do not run down others to improve conversion.
  • Where the honest advice is to wait, we give it — the last section of the sign-up guide is titled "whether to open one at all is still a question".
